CapTech Honored By Chamber of Commerce
CapTech was honored last night by the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce for its contribution to the Richmond community and its continued success as one of the region's premier technology companies.
CapTech was honored with the annual Impact Award at the Chamber's 137th Annual Dinner. The Impact Award is given out to that Richmond-based, privately-owned company that contributes the most to the Richmond region through its community involvement and economic development initiatives.
The company is a major contributor to several charitable causes including the United Way, the FIRST Robotics Competition, the Fanconi Anemia Research Fund, and is the driving force behind the CapTech Classic, an annual international cycling event and festival that benefits of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Richmond.
"Out of hundreds of applicants there is always one company that stands out," explains Chamber president and CEO Jim Dunn. "CapTech has made a tremendous contribution to our community on all levels and that makes it easy to give them this important recognition. CapTech has truly made an impact on the Richmond Region."
Applicants were also judged on their company's growth in the areas of sales and employment, business innovation, response to adversity, and the quality of their work environment. The Chamber receives hundreds of applications for the award each year, and the winner is recognized at its annual dinner banquet.
