Richmond, VA
Fri, 2006-09-01

CapTech announced today that it has signed Richmond native and Professional Golfer, John Rollins to represent the company on the PGA TOUR. As part of this sponsorship John will display the "CapTech" logo on his left sleeve in 2006 and for the 2007 PGA season "CapTech" will be displayed prominently on the left chest of all clothing John wears while competing on the PGA TOUR. John will assist CapTech as a corporate ambassador and supporting the many charities and corporate events sponsored by CapTech.

Sandy Williamson, CEO of CapTech, stated: "As CapTech continues to provide outstanding service to clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic area, we are also exploring opportunities to expand our efforts, making our brand more visible on a regional and national basis as well. We have been fortunate to achieve a unique leadership role in our industry in the Richmond market, and while we will continue to maintain this emphasis, we have experienced a demand for our services beyond Richmond. The high-profile of John Rollins on the national, and even international, stage of professional golf makes John a terrific partner for our future".

"John was of particular interest to us", Williamson continued, "Since John is a Richmond native and product of VCU. John's support of the university and several local charities compliments our extensive efforts in the community".

John Rollins won his second event on the PGA TOUR in July (the BC Open). That win combined with outstanding play this season...two Top 5 finishes and an 8th at the prestigious Players Championship...vaulted him to 11th on the Ryder Cup points list. John leads the TOUR in eagles. Other high points in the professional career of this young star include: taking Tiger 18 holes in the 2004 Accenture World Match Play; winning the 2002 Canadian Open; and shooting a record "28" on the back nine at the 2005 Deutsche Bank.

Rollins' success in professional golf is no surprise when you consider his outstanding collegiate career at VCU and his consecutive victories of the Virginia State Amateur Championship in 1996 and 1997.

Rollins stated, "It is an honor to be associated with CapTech. I feel a real affinity for Sandy and his team: they are Richmond people competing against the best in the world at what they do. I feel that same drive as I have the privilege to compete on the PGA TOUR against the world-class players in my field. I look forward to working with CapTech, especially in support of their charitable efforts in Richmond".
