CapTech Introduces Workers’ Compensation Framework at The Gartner Portals, Content and Collaboration Summit
CapTech, a national IT consulting firm based in the Mid-Atlantic, launched a new Workers’ Compensation framework today that transforms the claims process. This open-source solution uses workflow technology to automate and support electronic case management. Users can simultaneously collaborate on claim records and balance their operational workload through real-time monitoring of electronic work queues. Fully integrated content management provides seamless interaction with documents and images while technologies like jBoss Portal, jBPM business process manager, and alfresco content management allow for the smooth integration and exchange of data sets among internal and external users. “CapTech is dedicated to identifying and resolving our clients’ most pressing business and technology challenges, and the Workers’ Compensation Framework does just that,” says Brian Ronnau, Government Sector Manager at CapTech, “We created this system in our technology lab where the company has access to emerging technology tools from its various software partners to offer a better way to process claims.” Although this system was designed for state agencies the technology can be used for many other applications that require case flow management, an advanced work requirement, electronic data interchange or a way to better manage electronic communications. Other benefits of the CapTech Workers’ Comp Framework are: A highly scalable system designed to service thousands of internal users and hundreds of thousands of external users, which significantly reduces the need for paper-based documents; automates processing of incoming information, regardless of the format and technology, and reduces processing time; improves user productivity by simplifying and automating business processes using a robust workflow engine and is highly secured, with a sophisticated authorization engine catering to a wide range of user groups.
