Business Case:

A national healthcare provider assists individuals in managing care for health-related conditions on behalf of their health insurance company or employer.  The corporation communicates with patients, insurers, employees, and providers in a number of ways.  With competitors rapidly differentiating their disease management offerings in the marketplace, the client needed a strategic analysis of their technology platform and recommendations to maximize patient outcomes, customer investment, and competitive differentiation.

Solution: 

Using industry research, media releases, skill inventory intelligence, and internal and external interviews, CapTech developed a comprehensive picture of the client’s e-business readiness and infrastructure vis-à-vis 11 disease management competitors.  CapTech then combined this intelligence with its healthcare domain expertise to provide strategic recommendations for the client’s technology platforms.  The effort focused on determining the most effective technologies for patient information acquisition and lifestyles education, compliance measurement, healthcare intelligence, and multi-channel coordination.  These business needs were analyzed within the context of a multi-channel strategy including:  mail, telephony, fax, web/mobile, and in-home health.
