A
consumer packaged goods client wanted to provide easy access to pertinent
business information for its European business holdings. The content had to be
separately branded for seven countries, and easily accessible by all. The organization uses Interwoven Teamsite for
business managed web contents and utilizes IBM WebSphere Portal as its main
conduit of business information to its employees.

CapTech
responded to the clients requirements with a template-based approach to extend
their Enterprise Portal delivery of business managed content. There were over 240 targeted content areas,
each to be displayed individually. By
utilizing a template-based approach, CapTech only developed 5 distinct portlets
that were then reused achieving the total number of desired content driven
areas. Additionally, the design allowed each area to display different
content for up to seven countries. CapTech also designed a customized WebSphere
Portal theme that dynamically adjusted the look and content of the portal based
on the user’s selected country.
