CapTech Philadelphia office lead Andy SofishWhat are you most excited about as we go into 2018? 

Our Philadelphia office has continued to grow steadily. We've been able to hire a lot of great talent over the last year and recently we crossed over the 50-consultant threshold. As we start to get our great consultants deployed to our new and emerging clients, we are positioned to leverage what CapTech does so well: deepening relationships that exist in clients through great delivery and fantastic partnerships. It's also exciting to open and expand new accounts by getting these folks engaged. I’m excited about the potential to be able to service more clients with the great talent that we’ve attracted over the last 12 months.  

What do you think is unique about the culture in your office? 

One thing that sets us apart in Philadelphia is our geography. We serve the area from Wilmington, Delaware, all the way up to Princeton, New Jersey and everywhere in between. We have consultants from all over the area, so we spend a lot of time and really think about how to stay focused on engagement, communication and community. I think the wide area we serve is actually a good thing because we spend a lot of time talking about it and thinking about it. This helps us put more deliberate programs and activities in place to foster collaboration and engagement. As an office, we do many different things: from fun outings to our charitable efforts, and people really rally around these events not just as an opportunity to do something fun, but also as a focal point to help us bond as an office.

How do you see core values at play in your office?

Flexibility is the one I see on display most. Being a part of a smaller office and participating in the growth cycle that we're in, we have a lot of folks that are willing to do whatever it takes both internally and at the client. Since we are still in that startup mindset, a lot of people come in and ask, “How can I help? What can I do?” I think across the board, we have a high level of flexibility in terms of people that are willing to travel and stretch their skills to get the job done. 

What do you love about working at CapTech?

I really love the model that we have established. I’m proud that as we've grown, we've been able to maintain a strong core culture. That allows us to solve problems and tackle challenges jointly as well as celebrate the successes equally across markets and I love that. We are still coming into work every day and thinking about what's best for CapTech overall. 

When you’re not in the office where can we find you? 

Usually I'm spending time with my friends and family. I do a lot of volunteer coaching for my two kids, which means I spend a lot of time on the soccer field, basketball court, and baseball field throughout the year.

Andy Sofish is a CapTech Principal responsible for leading the Philadelphia office. He has over 15 years of consulting experience with much of that time focused on program/project management, strategic planning, and delivery leadership across large, transformational system implementations, and process improvement initiatives. In addition to directly serving clients throughout his time with CapTech, he has held leadership positions within Business Development, Account Management, and Practice Area Management.
