CapTech teamed up with Charlotte-based Apparo, which helps nonprofits leverage technology and improve business processes, to support the Joe Martin ALS Foundation. Together, the team created an interactive experience connecting ALS caregivers with the resources and educational materials they need to provide the best care possible to their loved ones – including equipment descriptions and tutorials.

The Joe Martin ALS Foundation has since modernized their website and created a YouTube channel to host their videos leveraging the materials we partnered to create. These resources have become pivotal in JMALSF’s ability to fulfill their mission – particularly in this new normal, stay-at-home environment.

It was a very rewarding partnership and one that CapTech was excited to sponsor. We enjoyed the opportunity to support a great local organization while spotlighting the type of fulfilling work with which we strive to get involved. To be involved with a non-profit such as the Joe Martin ALS foundation, our team gained so much insight into the total selflessness of the volunteers and people like Neil Cottrel. I am continually thrilled to hear that our efforts are still affecting and supporting the foundation in positive ways.”

“Due to the coronavirus crisis, I can’t visit someone’s home to help them with training as I would normally, but I have the detailed videos that talk them through the support they need, step-by-step. Some of the videos have over 40,000 views. In this environment, those videos are more important than ever. I am very appreciative of Apparo and CapTech for their work that made this possible.” – Neil Cottrel, President, Joe Martin ALS Foundation.
