PHILADELPHIA, PA – December 20, 2018 – Competing in the CapTech National Food Fight, CapTech Philadelphia raised $6,370 for Philabundance. This friendly competition among the company's eight office locations will help provide over healthy food for our neighbors in need in the Philadelphia area. The check presentation took place at the Philadelphia Wholesale Produce Market on December 7th during a volunteer event.
We at Philabundance are so grateful for CapTech's support! They are a true partner in the fight against hunger; they volunteer, donate, and are offering assistance on a business analysis project to increase our capacity. We couldn't do the work we do without the support of partners like CapTech! – Jaclyn Elwell, Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships, Philabundance
CapTech's National Food Fight, which takes place annually in November, raised over $115,000 for local food banks across the country in 2018. CapTech Philadelphia competed against other offices to raise the most funds per capita for local food banks, more than doubling their fundraising efforts for the food bank over 2017 donations.
"It has been incredible to watch our partnership with Philabundance grow over the past few years," said CapTech principal Andy Sofish. "Through multiple volunteer events and fundraising, our CapTechers have been inspired into action by the impact Philabundance has on helping to eliminate hunger in our community."
