ChamberRVA is pleased to announce the six company finalists for the 2018 IMPACT Awards. Compare.com, Dodson Property Management and Dominion Payroll have been selected as finalists in the small business category, and CapTech, Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP and Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia round out the finalists in the large business category. The two winners will be announced at the annual celebration dinner in November.
The small business finalists are notable for their dedication to innovation and to the greater Richmond community. Compare.com, based in Glen Allen, is the largest car insurance comparison website in the country. Dodson Property Management, a full-service real estate firm located in downtown, works toward a stated mission of positively impacting 500,000 lives by 2025. The Scott's Addition–based Dominion Payroll is a workforce management company serving clients in all fifty states through a focus on customer service and community.
In the large business category, finalists share a common thread of holding a profound understanding of the clients and populations they serve. CapTech, a Henrico-based national IT management firm, offers custom IT and management consulting solutions to its many Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 clients. As one of the top twenty public accounting firms in the nation, Dixon Hughes Goodman provides audit, accounting and tax services based in deep experience and a commitment to personal service. The nonprofit Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia goes beyond thrift stores to fund an array of job training and support services that help both job seekers and employers.
"This year's finalists truly are a testament to the caliber of business we have in the region," said Pat Gottschalk, partner at Williams Mullen and chair of the ChamberRVA Board of Directors. "Not only do we have companies that are dedicated to world-class customer service and innovation within their industries, but we're also extraordinarily lucky to have companies that are dedicated to improving their home community right here in Richmond. Our IMPACT finalists this year are leading the way for greater Richmond in more ways than one."
The IMPACT Awards' small business category comprises organizations with 149 employees or fewer, and large business category those with 150 employees or more. Finalists are selected by a committee of local business and community leaders. The 2018 IMPACT Award winners will be announced at the celebration dinner on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at the Richmond Marriott.
