CapTecher Hunter Willetts spoke at the Path to Agility Conference held in Columbus on May 24-25. This conference was developed to further Central Ohio Agile Association's (COHAA) mission to promote the use of agile practices and principles. This conference engaged national and regional agile thought leaders to provide content focused on a mix of business, technical, and management topics.
Hunter presented "Frameworks are Like New Golf Clubs, They Won't Fix a Terrible Swing": How Understanding the Principles of Agile is the First Step. His session covered the necessity of frameworks for providing guidelines for teams. Further, he discussed how, if these principles and fundamentals of the Agile Manifesto are not followed, it makes it very difficult for the framework to be successful. Hunter then shared his experiences across multiple companies on how to return the teams back to the fundamentals to solve issues they are experiencing.
