Sandy Williamson
Sandy Williamson is the CEO and co-founder of CapTech. As the CEO, Mr. Williamson is responsible for setting the strategy of the firm, defining and executing the business plan, and overseeing all marketing initiatives. A Virginia Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year® in 2001, he has led his company to several prestigious listings including two consecutive appearances on Inc. Magazine's list of 500 of the nation's fastest-growing private companies.
Mr. Williamson continues to conduct Quality Assurance reviews of client engagements. He has extensive experience in managing and leading systems development initiatives for banking and healthcare firms.
Prior to starting CapTech, Mr. Williamson was a manager with a regional consulting firm where he was the Project Manager for several internet banking and information technology planning engagements at a regional financial institution. Mr. Williamson was a Manager of MSO Development at Trigon Blue Cross Blue Shield where he held a number of positions in which he helped develop strategic systems to support interactive transactions with physicians. He was also a Senior Consultant at Andersen Consulting after starting his career with a commercial bank.
In addition to his duties with CapTech, Mr. Williamson is also an active participant in our community. He serves as a board member on the Greater Richmond Technology Council, the Regional Advisory Board of the NASA Langley/VCU FIRST Robotics Competition, The Heart of Virginia Boy Scout Council and Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Engineering Foundation’s Board of Trustees. He and his firm are active in promoting the development of the information technology workforce and the growth of Virginia-based technology companies.
Mr. Williamson holds a BA in Economics and Political Science from the University of North Carolina and an MBA in Finance from the American University.
Slaughter Fitz-Hugh
In March of 1997, Mr. Fitz-Hugh teamed with Sandy Williamson to form CapTech Ventures, Inc. Since that time, Mr. Fitz-Hugh's primary internal focus has been to build CapTech's business operations structure. He has also managed the company's daily fieldwork for clients. Simultaneously, Mr. Fitz-Hugh has acted as the firm's Chief Financial Officer, assuming responsibility for strategic planning, budgeting, accounting and all day-to-day financial operations.
Mr. Fitz-Hugh has extensive client service experience in the health care industry as well as experience developing financial systems in the airline, telecommunications, and healthcare industries. With over twenty-five years of consulting experience, his skills include project management, application database design and data warehousing. Additionally, he has managed several intranet development projects. Currently, Mr. Fitz-Hugh manages the internal operations team at CapTech. Before starting CapTech Ventures, Inc., he was the co-founder of Perspective Technology Corporation and a consultant at Andersen Consulting.
Mr. Fitz-Hugh has been active in the Richmond community for several years, holding board positions with the United Way of Greater Richmond and Petersburg, the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce, The Greater Richmond Partnership, Richmond 2015, and Elk Hill. He served as the Campaign Chair for the United Way of Greater Richmond and Petersburg in 2011.
Mr. Fitz-Hugh graduated from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce with a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce with Concentrations in Finance and MIS.
Kevin McQueen
Mr. McQueen manages CapTech's Business Development, Sales and Account Management functions. Mr. McQueen's previous work experience includes Andersen Consulting, Circuit City, and the McClain Group, Inc.
Mr. McQueen possesses a wide range of skills, including project management, business analysis, systems design and implementation, and database design. With over fifteen years of consulting experience, Mr. McQueen has developed numerous solutions for clients in the financial services, health care, property and casualty insurance, retail, service, and manufacturing industries. His knowledge in these industries includes customer service, sales, accounting, human resources, and transaction processing applications.
Mr. McQueen graduated from the University of Richmond with a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and an MBA.
Steve Holdych
Mr. Holdych currently leads CapTech's Financial Services practice to improve the business processes and IT capabilities of financial industry leaders. Additionally, Mr. Holdych continues to support CapTech’s Worker’s Compensation and IT Management Consulting practices through executive oversight and review.
Mr. Holdych has deep industry experience in financial, healthcare and workers compensation industries. Key horizontal focus areas include business case development, IT strategic planning, business transformation execution, complex system integration, CRM and e-business development. He is an expert in the financial sector where he has lead programs in mergers and acquisitions, customer origination, customer service, loan automation, and transaction processing. In the healthcare sector Mr. Holdych played a key role in designing a provider portal system for a national insurance company. Within the worker’s compensation field, Mr. Holdych led Virginia’s transformational initiative that modernized their processes, systems and organizational structure.
Prior to joining CapTech, Mr. Holdych worked at Signet Bank as the Internet Strategist, where he set Signet's Internet strategies, led the development of Signet's first cohesive Web presence, including a Web Banking solution and Web-based Account Origination system, and chaired the Internet security board.
Mr. Holdych is a graduate of the University of Chicago with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
Vinnie Schoenfelder
Mr. Schoenfelder is a CapTech Principal responsible for overseeing all areas of service delivery. Mr. Schoenfelder has 18 years of industry experience with more than 15 years concentrated on Portal, Content Management, and Collaboration systems. More recently his expertise has extended into Web 2.0 and mobile technologies. During the course of Mr. Schoenfelder's career, he has spoken at Fortune 500 companies and technology conferences across North America, and has been engaged with clients in North America, Europe, and Canada. Considered a thought leader in this space, Mr. Schoenfelder is responsible for our national Portal and Content Management practice.
Mr. Schoenfelder meets with current and prospective clients, vendors, and industry analysts to discuss current business challenges as well as approaches to solving these challenges. He continues to participate on key engagements either as an Engagement Director or Solutions Architect. Mr. Schoenfelder's core skills include engagement/project management, strategic visioning, enterprise architecture, governance modeling, and solution modeling.
Mr. Schoenfelder is a graduate and volunteer for Leadership Metro Richmond, as well as an active member of VCU’s Industrial Advisory Board. Mr. Schoenfelder is a graduate of Roanoke College with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems.
Joanna Winston Bergeron
Mrs. Bergeron has over 11 years of management consulting experience involving Program/Project Management, Strategic Planning, and Organizational Change Management for projects within the Financial Services, Communications, Retail, Healthcare, and Manufacturing industries. Prior to joining CapTech in 2001, Mrs. Bergeron worked as a management consultant with Accenture’s Telecommunications practice, focusing on the design and implementation of complex Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions.
Mrs. Bergeron is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) who has been responsible for designing and leading complex integration and acquisition programs. She has developed and implemented a consistent strategy for standing up and managing Project Management Offices (PMO) to support the management of business-critical initiatives. Mrs. Bergeron also provides support and management of Organizational Change Management (OCM) efforts. Mrs. Bergeron has also been instrumental in growing and managing several of CapTech’s core accounts. Leveraging this experience, she is implementing a consistent Account Management strategy that enables high quality consultant delivery, client trust, and a strong account presence. Mrs. Bergeron was promoted to Principal in January of 2010.
Mrs. Bergeron holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Virginia and a Masters in the Management of Information Technology (MIT) from the University of Virginia School of Commerce.
Stephen J Gaidos
Stephen Gaidos manages engagement sales, contract negotiations and consulting service delivery for CapTech’s largest Fortune 500 client. As a consultant, he advises executives seeking IT Strategy, Program Organization and Business Architecture guidance. He has led large banking integration programs, online banking system consolidations, technology and business strategy engagements and custom software development projects. Mr. Gaidos has over 23 years of management and consulting experience in the Financial Services, Insurance and Real Estate industries with organizations ranging from small family owned to multi-national Fortune 500.
Mr. Gaidos also provides executive leadership for CapTech’s National Financial Service practice and is actively involved in the recruiting, hiring, training and evaluation of consulting talent. He was instrumental in building the firm’s Enterprise Risk Management practice and driving overall growth in Management Consulting services.
Prior to joining CapTech, Mr. Gaidos was a manager with KPMG’s Information Risk Management advisory services group where he delivered strategic technology evaluations, analyzed and designed business and technology processes and managed teams performing technology audit work across a variety of Fortune 500 clients. Mr. Gaidos was selected by KPMG’s National Advisory practice to manage the build of business process catalogues in support of their Sarbanes Oxley compliance software. He was also responsible for managing the installation of KPMG’s SOX software product at large Fortune 500 organizations. Prior to KPMG, Mr. Gaidos managed Markel Corporation’s Computer Operations organization where he guided several large integration and system implementation efforts as well as the construction and consolidation of the company’s corporate data center facilities.
In addition to his duties with CapTech, Mr. Gaidos is a volunteer with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Greater Richmond serving in their school based mentoring program. He has also served on the long range planning committee at Christ Church Episcopal and as a coach for youth football and soccer programs.
Mr. Gaidos holds a BS in Business Finances from Virginia Tech along with a significant concentration in computer science studies. Mr. Gaidos has also held computer security (CISSP) and technology audit (CISP) certifications.
