Elevating the Digital Partner Experience with the PGA Championship

During the 2025 PGA Championship, CapTech launched our elevated digital experience for corporate guests, which demonstrated how a data-driven fan experience creates value for fans and brands.

We designed and developed a digital experience to accompany the PGA Championship mobile app and follow CapTech ambassadors Harris English, Ben Griffin, Patton Kizzire, and J.T. Poston as they competed at Quail Hollow Club.

To showcase what’s possible with data, we gamified the experience so that users selected which CapTech ambassadors they thought would perform best across four classic golf challenges over the tournament, enabled by real-time scoring and shot data.

Additional fan features in the experience included a secure login for personalization, a branded interactive onsite map, a live leaderboard for CapTech players, and a section highlighting our collaboration with the PGA of America.

The data-driven experience performed exceptionally during the tournament, with a 74% conversion rate for users who created an account and selected one of our ambassadors. Over the course of the four days, users averaged 60 seconds within the app, engaging at least six times throughout the week.

With industry benchmarks in the low teens for website conversion, the Digital Elevated Experience at the 2025 PGA Championship presented an amazing opportunity to showcase how a data-driven fan experience can promote a brand, while creating memorable moments that add value to corporate hospitality during an event.
