CapTech’s Commitment to Ethical AI & Technology Practices

CapTech is deeply committed to the ethical development and deployment of AI and emerging technologies. We recognize the significant impact these technologies can have on society, and we are dedicated to designing and implementing our innovations in a way that is responsible, transparent, and aligned with ethical standards.

To guide our approach, CapTech has developed an AI policy that ensures the responsible and ethical use of AI tools and technologies in our internal operations and client projects. Our policy is designed to leverage AI’s potential to enhance productivity, decision-making, and automation while mitigating associated risks, including security, compliance and ethical concerns.

Before accessing AI copilots and other generative AI toolsets, employees must complete an internally developed AI certification. This certification ensures a comprehensive understanding of the technology and its workings, and the application of our policy to all aspects of our business.

AI & Technology Ethics Policy

CapTech's AI Policy provides clear guidance on the development and responsible & ethical use of AI, emphasizing principles like fairness, transparency, security, privacy, accountability, and diversity.

  • Purpose: Every AI tool or product developed by CapTech aims to improve existing products and procedures, avoiding any purpose related to discrimination, illegal activities, or exploitation.
  • Fairness & Transparency: AI decision-making processes must be explainable, transparent, and fair, with clients provided detailed information on how the AI functions, the data used for training, and potential risks, along with obtaining informed consent for data use.
  • Security & Privacy: Data collection for AI development is limited to what is necessary. Datasets are kept secure, and sensitive information, such as passwords and personally identifiable information (PII), is never shared with generative AI tools.
  • Accountability: We identify key decision-makers and participants in the development of AI products and conduct regular evaluations to confirm ongoing compliance with ethical standards.
  • Diversity: AI tools are developed using diverse datasets to prevent biases and ensure that they are suitable for various environments and applications.
  • Prohibited Uses: CapTech strictly prohibits the creation of AI tools that promote or engage in dangerous, illegal, or malicious activities, or generate content that could harm individuals or groups.

Furthermore, CapTech's AI policy emphasizes the importance of human oversight, data protection, and bias mitigation. By establishing clear protocols and responsibilities for AI usage, CapTech conducts its AI initiatives with due diligence and critical thinking, safeguarding both the company and its clients from potential risks.

Internal Policy Distribution & Updates

CapTech’s AI policy is communicated and reinforced through multiple channels. It was initially shared via company-wide and departmental meetings, as well as through coaching conversations. The AI policy is also linked directly with the AI toolsets available for use within the company.
