The Commonwealth of Virginia Tax agency engaged CapTech to build their brand and move their website to a new CMS, all while ensuring a seamless internal transition.
The overarching goal was to make Virginia Tax a more approachable “brand” for taxpayers, businesses, and tax preparers alike.
Once the strategic foundation was established, we designed creative concepts for their logo that spoke to their positioning and personality. We also developed a visual system around the logo using complementary colors, typography, graphic styles, and imagery that brought the brand to life consistently across touchpoints. Lastly, we delivered a style guide to document these standards for ongoing use.
These updates translated to a new website, which CapTech’s team of designers, UX analysts, and developers also delivered. We assisted with the transition to full support by the VA Tax IT internal staff, with real-time updates enabled. Success rates for key online tasks completed increased by 13% and efficiency of key online tasks improved by 26%.
