CapTech Columbus is Going the Distance

CapTech
cycle race

CapTech Columbus is going the distance – 100 miles, that is – on August 6th. CapTechers will be participating in the Pelotonia Cycling race to support cancer research at the Ohio State Comprehensive Center. Those up for the challenge will be cycling from Columbus all the way to Gambier, Ohio for the cause! Our goal is to raise $8,000 for Pelotonia, so any and all support for our riders will be met with energetic gratitude and feverish pedaling.

Since 2009, Pelotonia has raised over $106 million for innovative cancer research, and the money has gone far. It funds fellowship programs, equipment, and more in the pursuit of treating and eradicating cancer. Funds have been used to help identify those at risk for colorectal, ovarian, and uterine cancer statewide. They have helped develop a groundbreaking drug, Ibrutinib, that is now FDA approved for the treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukemia and mantle cell lymphoma.
