Battling Food Insecurity: CapTech’s Food Fight For Our Communities

The CapTech Food Fight started in 2013 as a challenge between two account teams to see which could collect the most food. Three years ago, the program expanded to fight hunger and food insecurity nationally. Each year, we’ve relied on CapTech’s competitive nature to drive creativity, participation, and excitement around Food Fight and increase total donations. But with the pandemic driving unprecedented need for food banks, this year’s focus was about competing with ourselves to achieve the highest-ever level of participation.

Record Breaking 2020

We shattered previous records, raising more than $88,800 in donations. This was matched by CapTech leadership, bringing the total donation for our food bank partners to $176,850. This equates to approximately 700,000 meals provided in our communities. To put that into perspective, the meals donated would be comparable to feeding every CapTecher across all of our offices three meals a day for over 200 days.

Serving Local Food Banks

“We are so proud of our CapTechers who came together to participate in Food Fight to help our communities fight food insecurity this year. The welfare of the cities we live and work in are of great importance to us and we’re thrilled to help our local food banks meet urgent needs in these unprecedented times.”
