CapTech Columbus Volunteering at Mid-Ohio Food Bank

Gardening Produce

On August 10th, CapTech Columbus will be playing in the dirt to help a wonderful cause. Our Columbus CapTechers will be offering gardening and farm help to Clarfield Urban Farm. The farm exists on a closed elementary school property in the south side of Marion-Franklin, a community that the USDA defines as a "food desert," meaning it is a low-income neighborhood with low-access to fresh, healthy food. In addition to the more than 25 varieties of produce now being grown on the abandoned elementary school grounds, the farm offers a place for the community to come together and help out alongside one another. CapTech Columbus is truly looking forward to lending (and dirtying up) their helping hands. If you'd like to learn more about the Clarfield Farm, visit
