CapTech Columbus Volunteering at Mid-Ohio Food Bank
On August 10th, CapTech Columbus will be playing in the dirt to help a wonderful cause. Our Columbus CapTechers will be offering gardening and farm help to Clarfield Urban Farm. The farm exists on a closed elementary school property in the south side of Marion-Franklin, a community that the USDA defines as a "food desert," meaning it is a low-income neighborhood with low-access to fresh, healthy food. In addition to the more than 25 varieties of produce now being grown on the abandoned elementary school grounds, the farm offers a place for the community to come together and help out alongside one another. CapTech Columbus is truly looking forward to lending (and dirtying up) their helping hands.
