FeedMore℠ Check Presentation

RICHMOND, VA – December 13, 2016 – Friendly rivalry against client delivery teams and the corporate office of CapTech raised $15,500 in the 3rd annual CapTech Food Fight for FeedMore. This head-to-head competition will help provide approximately 77,000 meals for hungry neighbors in Central Virginia. The check presentation took place at the FeedMore headquarters on December 12, 2016.

"I was so proud to see all the hard work, generosity and creativity the Food Fight sparked among CapTechers," said CapTech's Jeanine Cook. "After the competition was over, it was amazing to reflect on the bigger picture and the realize the impact we were making in our community."

Launched in 2013, the annual CapTech Food Fight for FeedMore has donated a combination of food and funds to provide more than 130,000 meals over the past three years. The competition started as a challenge between two client delivery teams, but has since grown in popularity. This year, with the addition new consultant teams and the corporate office team, CapTechers increased this year's contribution to FeedMore by 55% over 2015. Driving the friendly battle, creative fundraising methods included a polar plunge, a bowl-a-thon, a "skip lunch for hunger" day, and Principal donation matching day. Utilizing FeedMore's virtual Food Drive platform, the teams easily kept track of monetary donations.

"CapTech's tremendous efforts and dedication to our mission is why we're able to help so many across Central Virginia," said Doug Pick, Chief Executive Officer at FeedMore. "We love the spirit of CapTech's Food Fight and are truly thankful for their participation and support."
