CapTech Sponsors the Dominion Energy Charity Classic Golf Tournament Supporting Local Charities

CapTech

CapTech was a corporate sponsor of the PGA TOUR's 2018 Dominion Energy Charity Classic tournament held from October 19 – 21, 2018 at the Country Club of Virginia in Richmond.

Tournament beneficiaries included Virginia Values Veterans, which creates employment opportunities for transitioning military service members and the Richmond Fisher House and Foundation, which provides free onsite housing for military families of hospitalized veterans at the Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center.

The event also included the fundraising program Birdies for Charity, designed to give local charities an opportunity to generate contributions through flat donations or based on the number of "birdies" made by PGA TOUR Champions players during the Dominion Energy Charity Classic.

"CapTech is excited to sponsor this year's Dominion Energy Charity Classic," said CapTech's event lead, Darrell Norton. "One of our core company values is Corporate Citizenship which involves supporting the communities we serve. Our leaders and employees have a passion for giving back and this event allows us to do just that."

Now in its third year, the Dominion Energy Charity Classic is the first event of the Charles Schwab Cup Championship. Beginning at this event, the top 72 players in the Charles Schwab Cup standings compete for a chance to head to Los Angeles to compete in the Invesco QQQ Championship and ultimately, the Charles Schwab Cup Championship title.
