ITWorks is an award winning 16-week job training program that offers free, immersive IT training to young adults who have not yet completed a Bachelor's degree. Students earn a professional certification in IT and a real-world internship inside leading corporations and nonprofits. And this November 11th, CapTech Philadelphia will host and help conduct a training session as a part of the program.
Last year, CapTech began taking an active role with the ITWorks program. By hosting this event we hope to continue to deepen relationships with TechImpact and become a regular contributor through additional investments to produce and conduct trainings that enrich lives. For this particular session, CapTech will also be contributing five Philly office members to participate in planning and conducting the training.
Andy Sofish, CapTech Principal says, "The TechImpact organization as a whole has always impressed us. The ITWorks program's focus on strengthening young people and creating opportunities through continuing education inspired our consultants to get involved. Hosting and facilitating one of the programs training sessions was the perfect way for our organizations to work together and support the community."
