CapTech to Support Carolina Data Challenge

On September 16th and 17th CapTech will sponsor the Carolina Data Challenge. The Carolina Data Challenge is a data science oriented hackathon at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. This event is co-hosted by the student organization, Carolina Analytics & Data Science, the UNC Computer Science Department, the Odum Institute, and the National Consortium for Data Science.

In addition to our sponsorship, a few CapTechers will be attending and serving as mentors to participants. At the event, registered students will have the opportunity to hack on a dataset from either the financial, technology or non-profit sector. At the end of the event, awards will be presented based on the materials created such as visualizations, predictive models, valuable etc.
