A: VISTAR works on Apple iPads (iOS 16+). Currently, VISTAR is not supported on iPhones or Android devices — but we’re working on it.

A: There is no limit on organizational devices. VISTAR is available through an annual subscription license, so anyone with an active company email and supported mobile device can download and use VISTAR.

Technical Questions

A: Yes, VISTAR works without internet connectivity. However, to achieve the most accurate GPS coordinates for placed virtual objects, you will need a device with cellular service enabled. An internet connection is also required to download your company’s unique version containing specific 3D assets and branding.

A: For the most accurate GPS coordinates, you must have a mobile device with cellular capabilities. You’ll get even more accurate coordinates if you’re also within a street view. Users with a cellular device in street view can expect GPS coordinates within 3-7 feet of accuracy.

A: The possibilities are endless. Many of our clients use the app to visualize utility equipment, construction equipment, and behind-the-meter assets such as solar panels, wall batteries, and electric vehicle chargers, as well as plants and shrubbery.
