May 22, 2019 - CapTech is excited to announce its second presenting sponsorship of the Atlanta Moon Ride, a seven-mile night time cycling event to raise money for Bert’s Big Adventure, a nonprofit organization that provides a magical, all-expenses-paid, five-day journey to Walt Disney World® for children with chronic and terminal illnesses and their families.
The Atlanta Moon Ride event takes place at Piedmont Park beginning at 7:00 pm on June 21. CapTech will have a VIP tent for employees and others, as well as special giveaway items for registered riders. The race itself will kick off at 11:00 pm. Participants are encouraged to dress up in costumes, wear decorative helmets, adorn their bikes with glow sticks – keep it fun and interesting!
New this year, is the Atlanta Moon Ride app. Developed by CapTech, and available for Apple and Android mobile devices, the app was designed and developed specifically for the Atlanta Moon Ride. The app will enable riders to stream music during the ride, and also includes a ride map, a schedule of events and the ability to donate to Bert’s Big Adventure. Data visualization at the pre-festival will show donation targets and live updates.
“The Atlanta Moon Ride is a unique event that brings together the in-town community and we are thrilled to continue to be a part of it,” said Jon Bradway, Managing Director and Atlanta Office Lead at CapTech. “Giving back locally is at CapTech’s core and our employees embrace the opportunity to contribute positively in our communities.”
Bert’s Big Adventure was established in 2002 by local Atlanta radio personality, Bert Weiss. Beyond the Walt Disney World trips, the organization also provides year-round support through initiatives such as the Reunion Adventures, the Fairy Godparent volunteer program, and additional charitable services.
